Spreading Western Hospitality to the Rest of Calgary

Stampede Caravan committee

By: Reginald Tiangha

Rain or shine, the Stampede Caravan committee is committed to bringing smiles and a little Western spirit to outlying communities around Calgary. Almost every day during Stampede, the Caravan committee hosts a free pancake breakfast for the public at two different venues per day.

Today, the Caravan committee was at Marlborough Mall and West Market Square. I was at the Marlborough location where the weather was perfect! We were treated to music from local band 20/20, a performance by the Burnaby North Secondary Marching Band, and others. There were plenty of activities for the kids including pony rides, a petting zoo, steer roping & cow milking activities, and even Guitar Hero!

Here are a few pictures, and tune into the Calgary Stampede’s official Flickr account later in the day for more!
